LOOK AT JESUS

LOOK AT JESUS

One with Sovereign God,
Who in one breath discarded all.
Lost men and women filled His loving eyes
till there was but one choice.
His calling higher than His wealth;
His path more sure than His position.
His Father watched in awe
as His own Son released His hold on heaven.

Look at Jesus.

Divine descent,
But not to kingly halls.
Heaven’s vastness lost,
One cell his early home.
He nestled in the warmth of virgin’s womb.
The manger soon His bed,
His path the grueling dust of earth,
The cross His end.

Look at Jesus.

Now try to puff your chest and strut your noxious pride;
To raise your head above His bended form,
To justify your sin and walk away,
Ignoring Him who bent so low
So you could rise so high.

Look at Jesus.
Look at Jesus.
And bend your knee.

Although He existed in the form of God, He did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and was made in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:5)

MERE MEN
MERE MEN

The worst evaluation that could be given of true believers is that they are “walking like mere men.” True believers are Spirit-men. Human, yes, but humans in whom Christ dwells. We have everything we need in us, and our lives are to be lived by trusting Him to live through us … giving us His understanding, supplying us with His character, directing us with His perfect guidance
